Hi everyone! I hope you're having a nice Spring! Nick and I have been hard at work since the Mermaid Hunters Kickstarter ended, and we want to keep you informed on what's happening!
1. Soul Thief Job Guide is complete! This week we finished our newest expansion, the Soul Thief Job Guide. This expansion is full of great new background, rules and art, and we think you'll really like it! If you're a backer of the Yeld Patreon check your email for a download link! For those of you who added the Soul Thief Guide to your Kickstarter pledge (or plan to once we open the Backerkit) you'll be able to get your digital copy once the Mermaid Hunters Backer Kit is open and your rewards are confirmed. And of course physical copies of the expansion will ship along with the rest of your rewards!
2. Kickstarter Poll: Next week you'll receive a poll from Kciksatrter about our Mermaid Hunters project. This poll is our first chance to collect some vital information from you, so please make sure you fill it out! Filling out the poll will help us get your rewards to you as fast as possible.
3. Backerkit: We're working on setting up the Yeld Backerkit page. Hopefully this will be ready to go around the 15th of April. You'll use the Backerkit page to verify your pledge and add-on any extra content. The Backerkit page will also be open for late pledges. Eventually you'll also pay shipping through Backerkit. We'll have more information about our Backerkit page later this month.
4. Working on content! Now that the Soul Thief Job Guide is done Nick and I are starting work on the rest of the content for our Kickstarter. We have a whole bunch of stuff to complete over the next 60ish days, including the Mermaid Hunters set, the Sword Master Job Guide, the Rank 1 Adventure Set, Boss Monster Parade, the Deluxe Action Board... so much stuff! Some of this is nearly done (for example, Mermaid Hunters just need some revisions and some layout fixes), but other stuff (like the Rank 1 Adventure Set) is still in the early stages. So we're going to be very busy this Spring trying to meet our goals!
5. Digital content release schedule: We're still trying to decide when we'll release digital content for the Mermaid Hunters Kickstarter. As we said above, some of the content is done or nearly done, other content won't be finished for awhile. Right now our plan is to hold all digital content until the Backerkit page is open. You'll be able to confirm your pledge and rewards through Backerkit, and after that you'll be able to access your digital content as we make it available. This month that list will include:
Yeld RPG Rulebook
Yeld Black Mage, Shepherd and Soul Thief Job Guides
Yeld Quest and Towns & Territories expansions
Probably the Cat Friend Type for Patreon Backers
We plan to make other content available over the next few months as we finish it, and all digital content should be delivered by the time we're ready to start shipping (in late June/early July). I hope you'll be patient with us!

Wow, what a campaign! The Mermaid Hunters Kickstarter was real rollercoaster! Nick and I would have been more than happy to just fund the basic box set, but thanks to your support we're going to be able to produce a whole bunch of new Yeld content over the next few months. Here's what you have to look forward to:
The Mermaid Hunters Starter Set, as both a box and a PDF
The Rank 1 Adventure Set (with free extra tokens) as both a print expansion and PDF
The Sword Master Advanced Job Guide as both a print expansion and free PDF

What to expect next?
The Kickstarter is done, but Nick and I have a LOT of work to do! First on our agenda is finishing up the new Soul Thief Job Guide, which will be available before the end of this month! That's our first priority, so everything else will need to wait till that's finished.
Next month you can expect to see:
TheKickstarter Survey: You'll receive a survey from Kickstarter to confirm your shipping address (don't worry, we'll double check your address before we ship in June). We'll also ask you several questions. Please fill out your survey as soon as you can!
The Backerkit page: You'll be able to confirm your pledge through Backerkit, selecting each item you pledged for and (if you like), adding in extra items. The Backerkit page will remain open through April (and possibly longer) so you'll have plenty of time to use it. Please don't worry, we won't cut you off, and Nick and I will be available to answer any questions. We've never used Backerkit before, so we're going to take this slow to avoid any mistakes!
Digital Content Release Plan: We'll be busy working on getting our content ready to release digitally and send to the printer. Some of our content that we offered in this Kickstarter (The Yeld RPG rulebook and several expansions) are finished products and ready to go. The rest is either close to done with just some revisions needed (like Mermaid Hunters), still in progress (The Sword Master Job Guide) or still in the early stages (The Rank 1 Adventure Guide). We have not yet decided exactly when we're going to release all of this content. Likely we'll do a staggered release as content is finished. We'll have a more solid release plan for you next month.
Shipping: You'll be paying your shipping fees through Backerkit, but not right away. As mentioned above we'll ask you to confirm your pledges in Backerkit (along with any add-ons) next month. In May or June we'll ask you to come back to Backerkit to pay your shipping charges. Why? We want to wait until we have your rewards in hand so we know exactly how much they will weigh. This will allow us to get the very best shipping prices for you. That doesn't matter so much for domestic shipping, but if you live outside the USA you know how expensive international shipping can be. We really appreciate that our international backers chose to support us, and we're going to try to get the very best shipping prices for you that we can. We're also looking for better options for our next project.
Lots of updates! If you've been through a Kickstarter with us before you know we post a LOT of updates. Expect to stay very well informed! I'd recommend checking to make sure you can get update emails from Kickstarter, and if you skip updates for awhile please check in to see what we've posted. These updates will be our primary way to communicate with you and share news!
One last add-on! We have one final Kickstarter treat for you! Several of you have told us that you like having everything in print, so we've decided to combine the extra free content from this Kickstarter into a new mini-expansion. The Yeld 2021 Summer Collection* will be a full color magazine sized book (just like our other expansions) and include the Spear Master Advanced Job, the Boss Monster Parade and some previously unpublished content we think you'll enjoy! You'll be able to add this book to your pledge through the Backerkit page. We think it will cost about $8.
*The original Summer Collection was a free PDF we released for backers of the first Yeld Kickstarter. I think this may become a Kickstarter tradition!
What else is happening in Yeld?
The next few months will be very busy for Yeld!
We'll release the Soul Thief Job Guide later this month. I think this expansion will be our best yet, and includes some very interesting Yeld background! If you're a Patreon backer you'll receive this expansion as part of your monthly subscription.
April's Patreon content will focus on Town Quests and Doctor Monster, Yeld's foremost self-accredited scientist in the fields of unintended havoc and well meaning mass destruction!
In May we should be ready to release the Sword Master Advanced Job Guide! Most or all of our digital content should be ready to go by this point!
We hope to start shipping Kickstarter packages in June!
If everything goes as plan we'll launch our next Yeld Kickstarter in late July! We'll also release the Witch Hunter Job Guide!
As you can see we'll be very busy!

Hi everyone! The Mermaid Hunters Kickstarter is in its final days and we're blowing through Stretch Goals faster than expected! here's what we've unlocked so far:
5 free Monsters for our Boss Monster Parade, each with a piece of unique Treasure or Loot! These will be compiled into a free PDF that will be available for all backers!
The Sword Master Advanced Job Guide, a full color magazine-sized expansion including everything you need to play Yeld's sword wielding warriors of legend! Available as a free PDF to all backers or as a $10 book add-on!
The Digital Asset Set, a free collection of tokens, maps, action boards, illustrations, reference sheets and other assets to use in your online Yeld games! Free for everyone!
The Deluxe Action Board, a larger, fancier board game-style folding Action Board. this is a $6 add-on.
Right now our last stretch goal (At $9000) is our free Set of 16 Monster Tokens added to every Rank 1 Adventure Set. We've decided to add two more stretch goals, and I' think we'll reach them both!
Our $9250 Goal is the 6th and final Monster for our Boss Monster Parade. This will be available for free to all backers!
Our $9500 Goal is a big one! The brand new Spear Maser Advanced Job!
Spear Master is a brand new Advanced Job to use in your Yeld games! The Spear Masters were the guardians of Loh Tabeth, and their martial style inspired the Drudge Angel servants of the Princess of Yeld.
This free PDF will include:
New art and background exploring one of Yeld's most ancient martial traditions.
A full Job Profile, including a Quest prompt, Job Kit and unique Job Ability.
A selection of new job Specific Special dice for the Spear Master to choose from.
We're just $100 from our next stretch goal (the free Monster Token Set for Rank 1 Adventure Sets). I think we can unlock all of these before the Kickstarter ends!

Hi everyone! We've just reached out newest stretch goal, the 4th Boss Monster for our free Boss Monster Parade! But what I actually want to talk to you about is our previous stretch goal, the Digital Asset Set.
Over the last two years so many of you have told us that you're playing Yeld online using Discord, Roll20 or other services. We want to provide you with a set of tools and resources to help make your online games easier and more fun. We also want to hear what kind of stuff YOU want!
Our Digital Asset Set will include:
Tokens for every Monster, Called Monster, Pet, Friend Type and Job (plus some color variations).
An Action Board with a Turn and Action Chain tracker (and possibly board skins).
Markers to represent water and other environment affects on the Action Board.
A Calendar and Map to keep track of your progress in Yeld.
A library of illustrations.
We also have an excellent Roll20 character sheet created by Greymalken!
