Hi everyone! We're entering the last few days of the Mermaid Hunters Kickstarter. This morning we reached our latest stretch goal, the Digital Asset Set! This is a free collection of resources to use for playing Yeld online in digital spaces like Role20, including tokens, an Action Board, maps, calendar, trackers, illustrations and more! Thanks for helping us make this goal a reality!

Our next two stretch goals ($8500 and $8750) are both new Monsters for our Boss Monster Parade. We've already unlocked 3, and if we add two more that will be a total of 5 new free Boss Monster encounters for you to use in your Yeld adventures! After that, our final stretch goal (at $9000) will be a set of 16 new Monster Tokens added to every physical copy of the Rank 1 Adventure Set for free! So if your pledge includes the Rank 1 Adventure Set, you'll get this extra sheet of new Monster Tokens too! (The Rank 1 Adventure Set is available separately as a $20 add-on)

Our final week! And a new Boss Monster!

Hi everyone. The Mermaid Hunters Kickstarter is entering its final week. Thank you all so much for your support and enthusiasm. Nick and I really appreciate it! We want to talk about Stretch Goals and Add-ons. But first, here's a look at the new Boss Monster for our $8000 Stretch Goal. 

The Fairy Warriors of Yeld are too large for horses, so instead ride into battle on horrible, smelly Hasatch. Hasatch are Yeld's most foul and disliked beast, an omnivore of immense strength that is as dumb as it is violent. Fairy's breed Hasatch for labor, meat and war, and a full grown beast can bite a warrior's head clean off, or run straight through a fortress wall!

The Fairy Cavalry will be available to all backers for free as part of our Boss Monster Parade!

Lets talk about Stretch Goal! So far we've unlocked 5 stretch goals, including the Sword Master Advanced Job Guide, the Deluxe Action Board and three Boss Monsters. Our remaining 4 Stretch Goals include:

•  A free Digital Asset Pack, containing Tokens, Maps, Illustrations, Cheat Sheets and other resources to play Yeld online using sites like Roll20!
• Two more free Boss Monsters!
• A free set of 16 extra Monster Tokens added to each Rank 1 Adventure Set!

We hope we can meet each of these goals, especially since each means more free content for our backers! 

Lets talk about Add-ons! We're offering a  number of add-ons, but the two we'd like to draw your attention to are the Sword Master Advanced Job Guide and the Deluxe Action Board. Each of these items were unlocked as Stretch Goals, and have only become available to add on to your pledge in the last two weeks.

• The Sword Master Advanced Job Guide is a full color magazine sized book with everything you need to bring this new Advanced Job into your Yeld games, including a full Job profile, new Special dice, Mentors, a Job Quest , a Rival/Nemesis, new art and background and lots and lots of Swords! You can add this item to any pledge for just $10!
• The Deluxe Action Board is a full color 18 x 18 inch hard folding board game style board, both durable and easy to store! You can add this item to any pledge for just $6

Any add-ons that you add to your pledge before the Kickstarter ends will help us reach our Stretch Goals and unlock more content. However, we know that not everyone can afford to make a pledge for EVERYTHING they want right now. Don't worry, you'll be able to wait till after the Kickstarter ends to select add-ons through Backerkit!

Stretch Goal Funded! Deluxe Action Board now available!

Hi everyone! we've bene pushing through our stretch Goals at a fast pace. So far we've unlocked 2 new Boss Monsters as part of our free Boss Monster Parade for all backers, as well as the Sword Master Advanced Job Guide! Tonight we met our next Stretch Goal, the Deluxe Action Board!

Each Mermaid Hunters box comes with a nice full color paper Action Board, but we hoped to be able to provide a higher quality board at an affordable price. Thanks to all of you we can! Our Deluxe Action Board is a high quality full color 18 x 18 inch board game style folding board.  The Deluxe Action Board is made from 1.8mm chipboard  wrapped with 128gsm embossed texture art paper. Its a nice large durable board that you can use for years without worrying about damage or wear. 

You can add the Deluxe Action Board to your pledge for just $6.  You can do this after this Kickstarter ends through Backerkit, or right now by editing your pledge and increasing the amount by $6.  If you need help please contact us, or check out this Kickstarter Guide for changing your pledge!

So what will the Deluxe Action Board look like? We're still working on Action Board designs. Here's a few ideas we've had. Let us know which ones you like the best!

Our 3rd Stretch Goal FUNDED! Plus, new Art and new Stretch Goals!

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a  nice weekend. Nick and I wrapped up our weekly Yeld game just in time to see the Kickstarter reach our 3rd stretch goal! So not only have we unlocked the Sword Master Advanced Job Guide (free to everyone as a PDF, or available in book form as a $10 add-on), but we've also unlocked the first two monsters in our Boss Monsters Parade! Each of these Boss Monsters will be a full encounter, with art, a monster profile, advice for fights and a special treasure! Available for free to everyone! Lets meet them!

This monster has been terrorizing the region near Boulder Town for years! The Boulder Town Cyclops is an armored juggernaut with a  piecing stare from their single red eye that witnesses say can stop  a hero in their tracks! Only regular offerings of raw meet have kept the giant creature at bay! If the Friends manage to defeat the Cyclops the people of Boulder Town can craft a One-Eyed Shield from its bones!

The mysterious entity known as The Deep rules the seas and oceans surrounding Yeld. The Deep created Mermaids and Squidmen to wage war on Prince Dragul, but these are not its only soldiers.  Shipwrecker Queens are enormous cousins of Mermaids, large enough to sink a warship with their bare hands and swallow its crew whole! Sometimes called  "Big Sisters" by Mermaids, the Shipwreckers have been known to swim inland and terrorize fishing villages and ports along Yeld's rivers. Their fierce Storm Magic can stop an army in its tracks! If the Friends can force the Shipwrecker Queen to concede they may be able to convince her to teach them a new Blue Spell!

We've also expanded our Stretch Goals! In addition to adding more Boss Monsters, we've also created a new $9000 goal!

$9000 Stretch Goal: Bonus Tokens in every Rank 1 Adventure Set: If we reach this goal we'll add an extra sheet of 16 Tokens featuring Monsters and White Mage Called Monsters to every Rank 1 Adventure Set. For free!

Sword Master Stretch Goal is funded!

Hi everyone! We've reached our $7250 stretch goal, which means the Sword Master Job Guide is funded! All backers will be able to download the PDF version of this expansion for free, and the book version will be available as a $10 add-on. So if you want a physical copy, make sure to add $10 to your pledge!

The Sword Master Job Guide will be a full magazine sized book, similar to the Black Mage and Shepherd Job Guides. It will include:

- New art and background information.

- Full rules for the Sword Master Advanced Job, including Job Abilities and Job specific Special dice.

- A new Sword Master Quest and 3 new Mentors, each with their own Sword Style!

- A new Rival/Nemesis that will grow with your Friend and challenge you as you adventure in Yeld.

- New treasure to collect, including LOTS of swords!

- Advice for building different types of Sword Masters and using the Sword Master in fights.
